Six Word Contest with Margaret Malone

The Gravity of the Thing is pleased to present the Winter 2016 Six Word Contest with guest judge Margaret Malone. The winner of the contest will be awarded $500, and the selected six-word story will be featured in the Winter 2016 issue of The Gravity of the Thing.

Margaret Malone is the author of PEOPLE LIKE YOU from Atelier26 Books, a collection of short stories that “shimmer and burn with beauty and sorrow, generosity and wit” (Cheryl Strayed), and which Lidia Yuknavitch praised as “the biggest mouth-to-mouth resuscitation of storytelling I’ve seen in years.” Malone’s stories and nonfiction can be found in The Missouri ReviewOregon HumanitiesPropeller Magazine, Timberline Reviewlatimes.com and elsewhere.
