The Gravity of the Thing at Wordstock 2017

The Gravity of the Thing will be attending Wordstock: Portland’s Book Festival, which will take place on November 11th, 2017 at the Portland Art Museum and the neighboring venues in downtown Portland, Oregon. We are very pleased to be hosted by Portland State University’s creative writing program and Portland Review at the book fair, and we are very glad to be collaborating with Prieto Screenprinting in the production of handcrafted leaflets.

Wordstock’s 2017 lineup of authors and presenters includes such writers as Ta-Nehisi Coates, Jeffrey Eugenides, Claire Messud, Jenny Han, Lidia Yuknavitch, as well as The Gravity of the Thing’s co-editor, Matthew Robinson. If you find yourself at Wordstock 2017 on November 11th, come say hello at the book fair and check out Matthew Robinson’s pop-up reading at 10am. He will be sharing war stories from his novel The Horse Latitudes in honor of Veterans Day, as well as appearing for a 1pm book signing at Portland State University’s table at the book fair.
