I can’t find the street or the car
the song or the bird
the space or the ship
I’ve lost the cart and the wheel
the cow and the bell
the tea and the spoon
I’m looking for the paint and the brush
the foot and the print
the hand and the shake
I miss the whirl and the wind
the sky and the dive
the blue and the grass
I need the flash and the light
the steam and the boat
the spit and the fire
but I cannot seem to recognize
the scrap without the book
the land without the mark
the end without the stop
